Driven by passion
Jason Mayo’s commitment to youth development began long before the Mayo Foundation was formed. Growing up, he watched his father mentor and coach young people both on and off the court—offering guidance, structure, and encouragement that extended far beyond the game itself. Jason witnessed firsthand how consistent mentorship could shape confidence, character, and life direction.
That example left a lasting impact.
Inspired by his father’s leadership and legacy of service, Jason developed a passion not only for basketball, but for helping young people navigate challenges, build discipline, and believe in their potential.
Over the past two decades, Jason has worked with hundreds of youth athletes, providing training, mentorship, and support during some of their most formative years. His approach has always extended beyond athletic performance, focusing on accountability, personal growth, and long-term success.
The Mayo Foundation was created to continue and expand that legacy—ensuring that more young people have access to the same mentorship, guidance, and opportunity that shaped Jason’s own journey.
Today, Jason remains actively involved in mentoring and developing youth, committed to building confident, capable young leaders both on and off the court.
